Soilset 23 - EMScloud with CS650 sensor and Sigfox (IoT Sensors)
Soilset 23 combines the Campbell Scientific CS650 probe with Sigfox transmission for continuous monitoring of volumetric water content and soil temperature.
It is built for long-term deployments with minimal maintenance, long battery life, and full EMScloud data visualization.
Soilset 23 is an IoT soil monitoring set manufactured by EMS and based on the Campbell Scientific CS650 probe. It is designed for accurate long-term measurement of volumetric water content in soil, with automatic data transmission to the Internet via the Sigfox network and a 60-minute time resolution.
The CS650 probe uses two 30 cm stainless-steel rods, allowing measurement across a larger soil volume and reducing the error associated with smaller samples. In addition to volumetric water content, the sensor also includes integrated temperature measurement in the probe body for a more complete view of soil conditions.
Data are visualized, archived, and downloaded through the EMScloud platform, with clear graphs, online aggregation, alerts for failures or unexpected events, and access from different browsers and devices. The system is powered by a long-life battery, requires minimal maintenance, and can also be managed with Mini32 software for long time-series work and fast statistical calculations.
Soilset 23 is intended for continuous soil monitoring with cloud communication and low maintenance.
