DR26 EMS Band Dendrometer for Large Trees
The EMS DR26 is a band dendrometer for large trees designed for accurate monitoring of trunk circumference increment with no upper stem diameter limit. Its non-invasive fixing and voltage output make it suitable for tracking growth, water stress and freezing events.
The EMS DR26 is a trunk increment sensor for accurate monitoring of circumference changes in large trees. Its design allows measurement on stems with no upper diameter limit, making it a practical solution for forestry work, ecophysiology and tree-environment response studies.
The tape fixing is non-invasive, does not affect tree growth and offers thermal expansion behaviour close to wood and stainless steel. The sensor provides a 0 to 2500 mV voltage output and step-less reading, with a 64 mm circumference increment range and IP68 protection for demanding outdoor use.
The DR26 is useful for recording growth, water stress and trunk freezing with low maintenance and low energy requirements. Combined with soil water potential measurement, it provides a realistic picture of drought stress and tree response. Different diameters can be handled by simply changing the base plate.
