Overview

RSTAR Affinity Digital Suite is the turnkey data solution within the RSTAR Affinity platform for Industrial Internet of Things projects in geotechnical monitoring. It is designed to fit established workflows and simplify setup, data retrieval, and analysis from both the office and the field.

The platform integrates sensor data logging, capture, communications, and near real-time analysis into an end-to-end solution for the geotechnical industry. The browser-based dashboard and mobile application communicate with RSTAR Affinity gateways and data loggers to create a single-source ecosystem for geotechnical, environmental, and structural monitoring.

Solution architecture

According to Orica, the RSTAR Affinity system comprises data loggers, gateways, secure communications for telemetry, and desktop and mobile applications. The digital suite is built on a flexible cloud platform with a secure API for the configuration, communication, management, and storage of sites, devices, and data.

It can be accessed from anywhere an internet connection is available and is intended to replace improvised third-party monitoring stacks with a centralized data flow from the work site to the user's desktop.
