Wireless data logger for biaxial inclination and outdoor temperature

The Capetti Elettronica WSD19TII is a three-channel wireless data logger designed to acquire temperature and biaxial inclination simultaneously. Its IP69 enclosure and -30 °C to +60 °C operating range make it suitable for outdoor monitoring installations.

The instrument uses a three-axis accelerometer for inclination measurement and a 10 kΩ NTC sensor for temperature. The sampling interval can be selected from one minute to 24 hours, with 60 minutes as the default. Each channel stores up to 64,000 samples.

Communication and autonomy

Communication is fully wireless over the 868 MHz ISM band, with a range of up to 6 km in line of sight. Coverage can be extended with battery-powered WR12 repeaters, up to 32 repeaters in total and a maximum of 16 on each path.

Power is supplied by an internal 19 Ah, 3.6 V BAT3 lithium battery. Battery life can reach five years when sampling every 60 minutes and with at least sufficient radio signal quality. Actual life depends on field conditions, sampling and measurement intervals, and system configuration.

Installation

The WSD19TII can be mounted using three 9 mm holes, bonded with the optional FIX-WSD10TII bracket, or attached magnetically with the FIX-MAG-WSD10TII accessory providing 28 kg total traction force. Automatic inclination zeroing is performed by a command issued with WineCapKey.
