This GroPoint Air solution allows agriculture operators to easily and cost effectively build a distributed soil moisture monitoring network using the patented GroPoint™ Profile soil moisture sensor suite. This increases the spatial resolution of data capture (both vertically into the soil and horizontally across all locations).

The LoRa wireless technology used in GroPoint™ Air allows devices to send data and reach extremely long ranges at low data-rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.
Smart Agriculture

The GroPoint™ Air solution integrates a GroPoint™ Profile multi-depth soil moisture sensor with a LoRaWAN radio transceiver, antenna and battery to provide an integrated wireless soil moisture profile measurement solution.

A LoRaWan network or gateway is required for the GroPoint™ Air endpoints to connect to. The data collected from the remote sensors is upload over the LoRaWan network to a cloud based solution that captures and displays the soil moisture profile readings.

A fixed measurement interval is set on the GroPoint™ Air device. The interval can be change remotely over the network connection.

No external power source is required. The unit is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery designed for long term use. Depending on the sensor selected, outside operating temperatures, and the measurement interval selected the unit can operate for several years on battery.

GroPoint™ Profile sensors are powered by patented TDT5 Technology providing exceptionally accurate and reliable results.
