Overview

The PyroCV is a simple, robust infrared temperature sensor with CAN communications or a voltage output, tested to EMC standards for construction machinery. No complicated setup is required, just connect a temperature indicator and power supply and instantly start taking measurements.

Applications

The PyroCV is suitable for non-contact temperature measurement on most non-reflective non-metal surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete, bulk materials, painted surfaces, thick plastics, rubber and organic materials. Typical applications include asphalt paving, road rollers, and concrete processing and curing.

Installation

Quick and easy installation via M12 connector. Electrical installation and dimensional information are provided by the manufacturer.

Field of View

The given measured spot size contains 90% of the energy detected by the sensor. The manufacturer recommends the target is at least twice as large as the given measured spot for maximum accuracy.

The PyroCV is designed for non-contact temperature measurement on a wide variety of non-metallic and non-reflective surfaces. It is particularly suitable for materials such as asphalt, concrete, bulk materials, thick plastics, rubber, painted surfaces, and organic materials.

It can also be used on metallic surfaces provided they are painted or coated, as these reduce reflectivity and allow for more reliable measurements. Thanks to its infrared operation, the PyroCV enables fast, safe, and accurate temperature monitoring without direct contact with the material, making it a practical solution for industrial processes, civil engineering projects, and quality control.

Typical applications:
Asphalt paving.
Temperature monitoring on road compactors and rollers.
Concrete processing and curing.
Measurement of bulk materials.
Monitoring of painted, coated, or non-reflective surfaces.
