Soil Water Infiltration Rate:

► Soil water infiltration is the amount of water entering the soil per unit area. When measured, infiltration defines a curve called the infiltration curve. This can be divided into two parts:

► The first is where water potential dominates the infiltration process (when infiltration rates are highest).
► The second is where Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity (Ks) defines the infiltration rate. Ks expresses the rate at which water can be measured when the porous medium is saturated.
