The DRL26D data logging sensor is designed to measure stem growth on large stems 8 cm or larger in diameter (optionally 4 to 8 cm with a base plate). The sensor output is calibrated directly in millimeters of stem circumference growth.

The sensor is designed for quick and easy installation. It is secured to the object to be measured using a stainless steel strap wrapped around the stem.

The adhesion pressure is established as a balance between the influence on plant tissues and position stability.

Installation Notes:

The sensor should be placed on a relatively straight and evenly shaped part of the stem, in a relatively smooth location with no irregularities in the circumference. The sensor base should sit firmly on all four points. For more information, see the installation manual.
