The MX2502 is an underwater data logger in the HOBO MX family designed for ecosystem research, protection, and restoration. It features Bluetooth connectivity for configuring the logger, viewing data, and offloading measurements through the free HOBOconnect app, eliminating the need for cables or laptops in wet or difficult field locations.

This model integrates the LI-COR LI-192 quantum sensor, an industry reference for photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) measurement, together with internal temperature and tilt sensors. With calibration factors for both air and water, the logger delivers accurate PAR data in either environment and improves quality control through water-detect events and tilt monitoring during deployment.

Its compact, rugged, and waterproof design with an IP68 rating to 30 m makes it suitable for both fresh and salt water. It is also designed to mount easily to third-party wipers such as the ZebraTech Hydro-Wiper using the M-CLP clamp, and it can be deployed with lowering frames or compatible mounting brackets for aquaculture, aquatic ecology, stream metabolism, and advanced environmental studies.
