S-RGF-M002 Davis 0.02 mm Rain Gauge Smart Sensor for HOBO Loggers

The AeroCone™ rain gauge accurately measures the amount of rainfall dropped by an automatic drain rocker. It has a reed switch that closes each time the weight of the accumulated water makes swing the rocker, which produces a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter.

The instrument features an aerodynamic cone that increases accuracy in strong wind conditions, and is specially designed to comply with the guidelines established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The rain gauge accurately measures the amount of rainfall dropped by means of an automatic drain rocker.
It has a reed switch that closes every time the weight of the accumulated water makes swing the rocker, which produces a pulse that can be registered by a datalogger type HOBO UA-003-64 or pulse counter.

It includes a cable of 12 meters in length, a filter with system of fixation to avoid that can be dropped or to be displaced by the wind and a base with mast mount support and set of anti-bird skewers.

Davis Rain Gauge Smart Sensors are compatible with all HOBO weather station loggers, HOBOware, and HOBOlink.
They offer the same ease-of-use as existing Onset Smart Sensors, providing cost-effective HOBO weather stations for projects on a tight budget.
The sensors feature a plug-in modular connector for easy installation, and all configuration parameters are stored in the sensor and automatically communicated to the logger, eliminating the need for programming or extensive setup.
