A refractometer is an instrument designed to measure and determine the refractive index. They rely on the principle of refraction of light in liquids.

When light passes through a liquid, the angle of refraction shows the concentration of the dissolved solids, in this case sugar.

- Range: 0.0 to 20% Brix.
- Resolution: 0.2% Brix.
- Repetition: ± 0.1.
