The AeroCone ™ rain gauge accurately measures the amount of rainfall dropped by an automatic drain rocker. It has a reed switch that closes each time the weight of the accumulated water makes swing the rocker, which produces a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter.
The instrument features an aerodynamic cone that increases accuracy in strong wind conditions, and is specially designed to comply with the guidelines established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
