HYDROBALL TWIN Dual-Depth Smart Irrigation Probe
HYDROBALL TWIN splits the functions of HYDROBALL into two cable-connected units. The upper module is responsible for measurement, control, data transmission and power supply, and can be placed above the soil surface to improve connectivity in any environment.
The lower module is installed at the required depth and houses the sensors that measure volumetric water content, water tension, apparent electrical conductivity, soil temperature and, as a new feature highlighted by the manufacturer, pore water electrical conductivity.
According to DENODL, HYDROBALL TWIN has been designed to meet the specific needs of woody-crop growers, providing an optimal solution for monitoring soil water status at greater depth. This architecture also allows battery replacement without removing the device from the ground.
The system provides two measurement points at different depths, improving interpretation of the soil water profile. The manufacturer also presents the HYDROBALL TWIN PLUS variant, which offers dual-depth measurement in a single device, with sensors in both units to monitor two distinct levels up to 2 meters, while keeping installation simple and supporting optimization of operating costs.
