TY-6330P Portable Syngas Analyzer
The TY-6330P is a portable syngas analyzer designed to measure in one analyzer the concentration of CO, CO2, CH4 and optional CnHm by NDIR technology, the concentration of H2 by TCD, and the concentration of O2 by ECD. BTU calculation is also available.
This analyzer integrates simultaneous measurement of up to six components in one portable platform. The measurement range can be customized according to application requirements. According to the manufacturer, the instrument is intended for syngas analysis with fast response and with a dedicated pretreatment assembly that conditions the sample before it enters the analyzer.
The pretreatment unit shown by the manufacturer may include one or two water bubblers depending on the application. The pretreatment line includes a gas inlet through Ø6 hosepipe, a water bubbler for washing and removing dust and tar, an activated carbon filter to adsorb residual tar, a clamper to fasten the scrubber and filter, a gas filter to remove impurities and separate water vapor with 1 μm filtering accuracy, a replaceable filter element when blackened, a flow meter to keep gas flow around 1 l/min and avoid damage or measurement deviation, a top cap to facilitate water or activated carbon replacement, and an outlet through Ø6 hosepipe to feed the analyzer.
The manufacturer also states that the sample is collected from the process pipe, washed in water to remove dust and tar, passed through activated carbon to retain residual tar, filtered to remove impurities and water vapor, and then delivered to the analyzer in conditioned form. The outlet line exhausts the sampled gas after the treatment stage.

Sample pretreatment
- Inlet: collect sampling gas from the process pipe through Ø6 hosepipe.
- Water bubbler: the sampling gas is delivered into water to remove dust and tar by washing; the water must not exceed the maximum water line.
- Activated carbon filter: adsorbs residual tar.
- Clamper: fastens the water scrubber and activated carbon filter.
- Gas filter: removes impurities and separates water vapor; filtering accuracy is 1 μm.
- Filter element: the main filter element shall be replaced when blackened.
- Flow meter: keeps gas flow around 1 l/min to avoid instrument damage and measurement inaccuracy caused by over-flow.
- Top cap: facilitates water or activated carbon replacement.
- Outlet: exhausts the sampling gas and delivers it into the analyzer through Ø6 hosepipe.
