Por sondeo de las células y tejidos en los tapetes microbianos y hojas.

El MICROFIBER-PAM utiliza una fibra óptica delgada para la excitación de fluorescencia y detección. Esta estrecha fibra permite sondeo de pequeñas manchas de superficies heterogéneas fotosintéticos como las costras del suelo.

Además, la colocación de la microfibra en diferentes profundidades de penetración permite mediciones de gradientes fotosintéticos dentro de esteras y hojas microbianas.
