CT-2VA Electrocorder Power Logger and Energy Logger for Industry and Light Commercial
FOR ENERGY & ELECTRICITY
The AL-2VA is a single-phase Energy/Power logger (voltage and current). Setup the Logger using the Electrosoft software, then plug the equipment to be monitored to the attached socket.
This logger is designed to be installed by a competent person (generally an electrician or engineer). Once you're set up, just press the Start button to start logging! The indicator will flash Green when logging.
When the logger's finished recording (or you've captured enough data!) just disconnect from supply, hook it up to your PC and download the information. Electrosoft will let you view the data immediately on-screen and save or export for later analysis.
The AL-2VA data logger is designed for carrying out energy audits. It is also used by facilities management, electricity management, electrical and site services and maintenance engineers to monitor energy consumption of electrical appliances. This helps them to understand and record total site energy usage and diagnose any related issues. As the product records both voltage and current, users can determine if low voltage is related to high current demands on site, or if the low voltage is being supplied to the site.
NB - current range of the unit is dependent on plug / socket type used, for example, NEMA 5/15 = 15A; BS1363 = 13A
The advantage of the Electrocorder products over most others is that our data loggers constantly sample information (recording the Min, Max and Average) over the set period, many other products only take 'snap shots' of what is going on and can miss 99.9% of the data that is critical to your analysis.
All sets above include a data logger, mains plug, mains socket, USB lead, Electrosoft software and a carry case.

The AL-2VA is designed for energy monitoring of plug-in appliances and light-commercial electrical loads. It is particularly useful when access to a distribution board is unnecessary, impractical or not permitted.
The instrument records:
Unlike instruments that only capture readings at fixed moments, the Electrocorder samples continuously throughout each averaging period. This approach provides a more complete picture of load behaviour and helps identify brief events, fluctuations and changing consumption patterns that periodic measurements may overlook.
The total recording duration depends on the selected averaging interval. The AL-2VA can therefore be configured for quick appliance checks, short-term diagnostics or extended energy-consumption studies.
The AL-2VA can be operated by anyone who is competent to use the relevant plug and socket connection safely. Its maximum current rating depends on the connector configuration fitted, such as 13 A with a BS1363 plug or 15 A with a NEMA 5-15 plug.
